Not doubt Nox player is the best emulator for low end pc as per our opinion. Not only it covers low-high range computers and smooth user experience but also satisfying gaming experience with features like key-mapping. Latest version of nox player( nox player 7.x.x) comes with android 7 preloaded, Android 4.4 kitkat, 5.1 lollipop are optional as per requirement. Bignox(The company behind nox) also provide 64 bit version of nox player but yet to notice any noticeable difference. As per our experience we found nox 6.x.x to be most stable one preinstalled with android 5.1.
May be the best android emulator for performance and security. but everything comes at a cost. As of 2021 developers discontinued the development of leapdroid. In 2015 Google hired the company and team announced they are integrating with android studio. Biggest problem is key mapping is not readily available. Most apps nowadays look for android 5.1+ as their requirement leapdroid latest version comes with android 4.4 an mostly outdated os anyway. but still considering its performance and native execution in windows environment it is very much usable in many ways. Specially if key mapping / older OS not a factor for that specific application.
Leapdroid officialy no longer provide link to download but many website in google search share copies of leapdroid. After download make sure to check md5 & sha1 to ensure it’s the official one.
Smartgaga android emulator is based on titan engine which proves to be one of the best android emulation engine as per developers. Turbo GPU technology ensure utilizing GPU efficiently. Performance is comparable to leapdroid but can perform faster in some cases. What makes it better than leapdroid it’s OS support. In 2019 team stop development of smartgaga due to some internal issues. Despite being no official support there are many unofficial patches that provide support to this application. Smartgaga currently support both android 7 and android 4.4 which ensures compatibility with 99% modern application. Many user reported BOSD(Which is you will often face) when using smartgaga and that’s probably because of optimized written driver resulting crash of the whole OS. While there are many unofficial patches claim to fix this issue but better to not install them and stick to the official one.
Memu delivers a decent performance while maintaining compatibility and stability. User interface a nd experience is similar that of nox player. It provides best stability out of all but a cost of 10 -15 % decreased performance compared to nox player. Memu player especially made for gamer but can be used as an productivity utility and provides regular updates with support of latest stable android os.
Droid4x might not the best emulator for low end pc but it provides and simple android interface without key mapping. unless you gone wild you don’t wanna look at this. i promised to share 5 emulator so here is another one. we used and our experience was not that good. extremely buggy. but at least faster than bluestack and resource friendly to your low end pc. https://droid4x.cc claims to be the official website. Though in our opinion that’s more like a website providing credit card related stuff. Anyway leapdroid is much better alternative. Rest upto you.
There are many choices when picking a android emulator from market. Though its really depends on user what he/she prefers, For example Menu and Nox are great for gaming with support of latest keymapping. On the other hand Leapdroid is better for productivity for their robust performance.
